My friend recently bought a mini Cooper and he is not sure if this type of car requires premium gas to perform better or if regular gas is alright. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks for your answers!|||All modern Mini's require premium gas.
The standard Cooper has a high compression engine, which requires it.
The Cooper S uses forced induction (turbo or supercharger) and required it.
Putting regular in a Mini will cause you to use MORE gas, which defeats the purpose. The car's computer will retard the timing (pushing it out of tune) to prevent knocking on regular gas. That will consume MORE gas.
It's not a performance question really.
A tank of premium will only cost about a dollar more in total, at the pump.|||recommended and required is premium gas.
Regular or midgrade gas would void the warranty when the car breaks down.|||Read the owners manual. It will say for sure. It will be under specs %26amp; capacities. |||gas-X|||midgrade

Where can I find a cheap mini bar in San Diego?
I don't have a lot of space in my living room so a mini bar would be perfect. Just to give an idea on the kind of mii bar I'm looking for, it would have cabinets opening from the front and possibly even have a top that opens to reveal stuff. Or if you know any plans for a mini bar that might help too. Any advice would help, thanks.|||Your best bet is to order online. Here are some sites that you might like:

What is the difference between a wet bar and a mini-bar?
I need to know for my honeymoon. There's a hotel room with a wet bar, and in the item description it says mini-bar. Is there a difference?|||a wet bar is a complete bar with sink.. a mini bar is a small fridge with small drinks and snacks..|||Well, generally a wet bar has a sink and running water while a mini-bar does not.|||a wet bar has soda and beer spouts, and the fixin's for the drinks. a mini bar is just as stated mini, just the basics, no fountian, no fixin's[olives, cherries, lemon, etc]|||A wet bar is one with a sink, the mini bar is a lockable cabinet with the booze in it. Take it from experience, avoid the mini bar, it's waaaaaaaaaaaay over priced. Buy your favorite mixings and bring it with you or go to the hotel bar. You'll thank your wallet later.|||Technically a wet bar has a small sink and counter top area, a Mini bar is usually just a dorm fridge with drinks and drink supplies, some will have glasses also, the mini bottles of alcohol can run upwards of 5$ and even up to 10$. (the bottles of water can even be 6$ each) the mini bar bill can easily be more than the room cost, so avoid everythign over there, unless you have confirmation that it is free to use.
best bet, bring your own drinks and maybe a couple glasses if they dont have free ones for you to use.
a side note: Just because they say there is a Wet bar or Mini bar does not mean it is stocked with alcohol, check before check in.

What is the best monitor to get for a Mac mini, especially for picture quality?
Have just bought the latest 2009 Mac mini and tried several PC W/S monitors 19" - 22" with horrible picture quality, Samsung, Acer and Philips being the worst. Apple displays are just too expensive! What kind of boots should I wear with a black mini dress and black tights?
I have a cute, simple black mini dress that I want to wear with black tights. Unfortunately, I hardly ever wear dresses so I'm really confused as to what kind of boots go well with them (I know what kind of regular shoes would work, but it's way too cold for those! I need boots!)

How reliable are Mini Coopers and, do they make any with standard transitions?
I am thinking about buying a Mini Cooper but I don't know much about them. Are they good cars?|||Their reliability is average. Better than American cars and Mercedes. Not nearly as good as Japanese cars. About the same as Korean cars.
They are expensive to maintain since they are made by BMW and Mini is a British brand.
They can come in standard transmission if you want it like that.
About 90% of all cars made come in both automatic and manual transmissions.
Only cars like Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, and Some Porsche's like the GT2 and GT3 and some specialty cars like the Audi RS4 Super Sports Sedan only come in Manual.
And Mercedes only comes in automatic.|||Dude, BMW is german

When taking a Mini Bus Test, Should i use a bus lane if its in operational hours?
I am unsure if a driving test examiner will expect me to use a bus lane (if i come across one) during its operational times during my forthcoming mini bus test (16 seat vehicle) or, if indeed this vehicle type is allowed in there at those times. Any help appreciated.|||It's been 7 years since I took a minibus test, but at that time it was certainly OK to use a bus lane.

How do you convert video from camcorder that takes those mini's to a regular VHS?
I don't know if this makes any sense but I have a video camera that takes mini cassette-like VHS tapes. I want to put that video on a regular VHS. Is the Apple company planning on coming out with a mini iTouch anytime soon?
Ive always liked the idea of the touch screen iPod but it is just way too big ... Im wondering if theyre planning on coming out with a mini iTouch anytime soon?

How does the Mini Auto drive in the snow?
I own a Mini and live in New England. I have no idea how it performs in snowy conditions. Help from those who do.|||I live in Idaho and we have started seeing a lot of the mini's here over the last few years. They are adequate in the snow if you live in town where the roads are plowed or the snow does not get very deep. But you need studded snow tires and will still have to use cables on occasion. I would not use then in deep snow, unplowed back roads or snowy, icy mountain roads.
Good luck|||We live in Indiana and my wife's Mini gets her back and forth to work just fine. She loves it in the snow, 3-4" and on slick roads. She hasn't had the opportunity to drive it in anything deeper but I think it might be challenging.

How long does it take for mini lops to become mature?
I am going to breed bunnies. I'm going to buy them next week! I was wondering, how old would mini lops be when they are fully mature and ready to breed! I've looked on websites, and they say it depends on the breed SO I want to know specifically for mini lops :-)|||around 6-8 months. i'd wait till they were around 8 months old, to tell if your female is in heat, just lightly squeeze her back hips w/ your hand, if she is in heat, she'll lift up her butt %26amp; tail.
What are some indications that a mini dv needs to be disposed?
I had some mini dv tapes and i noticed that everytime I record a video, the starting of the tape will have a screeching noise. Can you indicate some signs of when a mini dv should not be reused anymore and to be disposed?|||miniDV tape is an evaporate metal formulation which is not as durable as the old oxide tape used in analog recorders. i would recommend putting a limit of 200 passes on the tape.
count a pass each time it is recorded, and for each subsequent playback viewing. depending on how much need to review a tape, it should be reusable for 50 times or so. now if you have a deck that is chewing tape, then it might be shot after just one pass, so keep the equipment clean. screeching noise is serious business and should be investigated professionally.
i have worked at television studios and been responible for managing tape stocks for wear. i have even re-loaded cassette shells with new tape when needed. Unless you are working in a high usage environment like a television station, there is little likelihood you would wearout a tape.

What kind of microphone should I use with a portable mini-disc player?
I'm a musician and would like to record myself using a portable mini-disc player. How can I make sure the chosen microphone is compatible with the player? Have you got any suggestions as to what would be a good make/model? I'd be happy to spend 拢50 to 拢100 on a second hand one on ebay.
Thanks in advance!|||You are limited by the player itself on what mics you can use because of the tiny mic connectors most small recorders have. If the recorder has a standard 3.5mm mic connector (like a headphone jack) there are not a lot of choices for a mic. It might be best just to get a Sony mic that is designed for the recorder.
If you can spend more on the recorder, you would be better off to get one that has a professional type XLR input with phantom power. That way you can use ANY pro mic with it.

Can a Mini Australian Shepperd and Mini Daschund have puppies?
We have a male Mini Australian Shepperd and we are getting a mini shorthair Daschund. My wife seems to think that they can have puppies but I think that the Daschund would be too small. The Australian Shepperd is about 19 lbs. If it's decided this is not a good idea, how do we get our Aussie to stop peeing on everything, claiming it for his own? Get him fixed?|||they can, they will, and it's a terrible idea. Only idiots and backyard breeders make mutts on purpose (or by "accident"). I'm sure you're not either of those, so yes, both animals should be altered. The best thing to do is have your male done now. It may reduce marking, but it is not a cure.|||I would not recommend this. It is not going to be healthy for either dogs. But i do think the Mini Daschund will be way too small. It will kill her. Im guessing she will be like 5-10lbs. IF THAT. My chi is 9lbs now and 11 months old and she is a standard breed. They will try and it is likley other big dogs from the neighborhood will try and that can cause fights between your male and the other male. And this could kill the female,
Getting him fixed is not going to guarantee that he will not mark. But it is the most healthy thing to do. They can get cancer if not neutered they can get temperamental also. I would highly recon mend getting him fixed, For his own safety and health. Same for the Female.
Spay*and*neuter*is*So*much*Cuter.|||If you want to kill the Doxie, go right ahead. Since there is no "mini" AS in the first place, he should be neutered now before you bring in the other dog. And the Doxie should be spayed by 6 months old.
First of all your mini AS is bred by a backyard breeder - its a runt with a lot of genetic problems and never should be bred to anything. Go read the Australian Shepherd standard to find out what you should have.
Second, never breed mutt dogs - there is enough backyard breeders now - why be part of that problem? A responsible owner will spay/neuter their dogs unless they are top show quality dogs that have been genetically tested and earned champion titles.|||no such thing as a "mini" aussie.. its just a mutt, and may potentially have genetics in its background for larger sizes
it would be dangerous to allow a dog that size to mate with a dachshund
not to mention, if both have the dapple/merle gene.. you're asking for problems.
why would you do that anyways? The result would be more unwanted mutts.
Yes, get him fixed|||Yes, they could have puppies. If the Aussie is that big and the dach is a lot smaller (Which it is) the puppies could be too big for her to have. You would have to have a c-section. In other words, yes, the dachschund would be too small. As for the peeing, probably getting him fixed is your best bet.|||Not a good idea, it could be dangerous for the daschund. However this will not stop them from trying. so it would be safest to get them both spay/neutered as quickly as possible. This may also help with the Aussie marking everything.|||Its not a good idea to bring a bunch of useless mutts into the world period. Same goes for breeding when you don't have a clue. Fix BOTH your dogs and train your male.|||Yes, the Mini Aussie can and *will* mate with the Dachshund, and the breeding *will* most likely kill the Dachshund.
Neuter your male.|||Yes.
Spay the female...and neuter the amle|||You can get him fixed. but somtimes that still will lead them to claim their terrority.

How can I start training a mini pony?
I'm looking to get a mini pony and have been thinking about how I'll do some training. I've been training, riding and caring for horses for about 10 years now and I've had my own horse for about 8 so far. So my parents have agreed to getting a mini pony. I know I've wanted to teach him the join up, lunging, long lining and a few other things. How should I start and go along with training?|||well first of all, they are mini horses. (:
i have miniatures and they are so small sometimes people tend to let them get away with things. so the first thing i teach mine is to stop when i stop, walk when i walk, and turn away from me when i turn into you. (basically my space- your space) then i teach them to lunge on a long line. on the long line i teach them the word "whoa". after a lot of repetition, they will soon slide to a stop. after whoa they learn to back on command, which i also teach on a lunge line. all of these things are they basics they need to know, especially if you are going to drive them in the future.
if you are going to show...
halter- they learn to "stand" (put their hooves square)
i teach them to side pass both directions, pivot on the forehand and hindquarters, and ground tie. this is if you are going to show obstacle ( like a trail class for big horses.) this is taught by the your space, my space thing.
they can jump(: my favorite.

hope i helped!|||start with lots of grown work: walk it around in hand and spend lots of time with it making it good with different things like picking its feet up then start lunging and long lining! :)
i have miniatures and they are so small sometimes people tend to let them get away with things. so the first thing i teach mine is to stop when i stop, walk when i walk, and turn away from me when i turn into you.

Why is my mini american eskimo aggressive with a few of my family members?
I have a 7 month old mini american eskimo that is typically very affectionate and loving but with a select few of my family, all males, he gets very aggressive. I have been trying to figure out some kind of similarity between the relatives but the only thing is that they are male. He barks at them uncontrollably, growls and even on occasion tries to bite. I don't want to have to get him any shock collars or anything like that. Is there anything that I can try?|||I found my dog to do a similar thing..and wondered and worried about it until I found out the reason why...the young teenaged males in the family would always play a little more energetically, a little rougher...not hurting my dog, but riling him up. He then would think whenever he saw one of the boys that that was the way he was SUPPOSED to play with them...that interaction is what he was taught and how he then behaved. You could try getting help from the "targets" and do desensitization training to break him of this habit. He could be a little afraid of them also, and be barking a "show" to get them to move away.
A shock collar...or E collar as I prefer to call it ...is not a form of punishment as it seems you think. It is just a tool, that may or may not be the right thing to use on your dog. Some people think they are cruel and painful...not true, when used properly. BUt I do NOT recommend using it as a form of punishment to get him to stop barking or growling. How do I know what sprocket to use on my mini bike?
I want to increase my speed on my mini bike but don't really know what sprocket is best anyone got any tips? I am mainly on the road with it and it is a 6.5 hp gas engine.|||roost66 is half right, you need a bigger sprocket, on the FRONT on the engine not the back. The alternative is to put a smaller sprocket on the back on the wheel. Engine sprockets are usually less expensive because they're smaller.
You need to calculate the final drive ratio, this is the number of teeth on the rear sprocket divided by the number of teeth on the front sprocket. Ratio =(back/front) To find out what will happen by adding teeth to the front change the number in your calculation. You don't want to change/lower your final drive ratio by more than about 0.5 with the small engine you have or it won't climb hills vary well. You can do the same calculation by changing the number of teeth on the rear sprocket.
Example
Stock Sprockets Front 13 Back 46 Ratio=(46/13)= 3.54
Bigger Front Sprocket 14 Ratio=(46/14)= 3.28
I hope this helps.|||bigger the sprocket on the back more top speed you get but you also loose acceleration.....count how many teeth are on the spocket and then go to your bike shop and get one with a few more take your old one with you to ensure you get the right pitch

How many people does it take to operate a mini yacht?

|||It depends on what you plan to do on your yacht, and what kind of yacht you are talking about. (Sail or motor)

However, if it is a motor yacht, i can tell you from experience of having a 56 foot motor yacht there is no problem operating it without help if you know what you are doing. I would never take it out alone just because its not worth the operating cost unless you have friends and family to be there with you, but you really don't need a "crew" to help you sail the yacht providing you know everything about it. However, I have only done light harbor cruising, I'm not talking about going all around the Caribbean, that would just be very stupid because if it were you alone in a yacht in the Caribbean, i can't imagine that would be very safe.
Oh yeah, and don't call it a mini yacht in your story lol. You can describe its length to portray its size.|||what is a mini yacht?? really there is no such thing as a mini yacht. How can i get my cat to use a mini scratch post that hangs on a door knob?
Hello, i was just kind of curious how i can get my kittens to stop scratching the end of a bed or a chair and start on the mini cat stratch post on my doorknob. Ive tried rubbing their paws on it but that doesnt work. Any suggestions?
Thankyou!|||rub catnip on it... no matter how old the cats are they will definatly use it...|||introduce it to them rub a little catnip on it or food or try playing with it with them|||Definitely the catnip thing... put catnip in it if u want make it smell familiar to her|||the ones that hang on the door knob never did work for my cats, however, the free standing ones you buy at walmart for like $10 really do work|||Each cat has preferences about the type of scratching post they prefer, so a vertical one may not be their thing. Try different ones that they might like better: different orientations like flat or vertical pillar, hanging or stationary, textures - rope or cardboard, etc. One other thing to keep in mind is where the scratching post is located; you could experiment with putting in a special hidden kitty corner or a more central place they can reach easily.
Also, discourage the bad behavior when you catch them doing it -such as with a squirt from a water gun or a loud clap. And encourage the scratching of the post with catnip or treats until they get the hang of it. Try putting the scratching post (at least initially) near the wrong object they like to scratch so the right behavoir is easy for them to do instead, and then over the course of a few days move the post to wherever you intend to keep it.|||Those doorknob posts are for the birds!!! Try getting your cat a small cat house. It can have its own spot and scratch at the same time. Make sure it is sturdy. Also make sure any carpeted post you get is a different color than your own carpeting. There are also stand-up scratching posts that have a rope around it instead. When the rope gets frazzled, you can replace the rope. I had 5 cats at one time. 2 preferred the rope post, 2 preferred the cat house, and one liked them both. Try to get their claws into the post, then let them disingage themselfs. When they realize that you will leave them alone, they will return to the post. Rubbing a new post with catnip is a must!!! However, catnip is not effective on cats younger than 4 months, maybe 6.

Will a Mini Fridge cause my electric bill to be considerably higher?
I've got a roommate who wants a mini fridge for his room. Its one of the larger ones, probably a little under 3 cubic feet. About how much will this raise our electric bill?|||it depends on how often you open it.but warm beer or refreshments v,s chilled for $5 a month.it would be worth every cent|||probably about $5 a month|||If its a newer one,not much.Just check with the wattage from this month. If it is the only new appliance you will know next month. They are really cheap to run, everyone has them in dorms...|||It doesn't use as much as a box fan. I know of Older people that use only the mid size dorm fridge. because they let the store store their food and the buy it as they need it. like enough for two days. They also use the weekly ad as a menu as to what is for dinner. Large fridges are a energy waste and even worst are the big freezers. The proof in this is that when it comes time to clean out the fridgeees. Look at how much money goes to the trash. Big fridg, big money, little fridg, little money, real simple.
What split-mini heat pump is easiest to install?
I have a 400 sq ft shop in which I would like to install a split-mini heat pump. The estimates I am getting include about $1500 labor, which seems high because I understand that some can be self-installed in a couple of hours, requiring no meters, or evacuation or charging of the lines. But some do require these things. Which brands are designed for the do-it-yourself installer?|||I have installed two mini-splits from alpinehomeair.com, and they were very easy. Don't pay $1500 for labor!!! All you'll have to do is mount it on the wall, drill a single hole for the pipe bundle, and hook up the pipes. It's definitely capable for a do-it-yourself project. You just hook up the pipes, and they're pre-pressurized with the 410 coolant. You can install a second system with the $1500 you'll save in labor costs! I'm sure that other websites might sell mini-split systems, but I've only dealt with alpine.|||k
How can you tell if you have a mini daschund or just a regular one?
I guess mini daschunds are obviously smaller than a regular daschund. But I saw mini daschunds advertised in the newspaper and I was just wondering what is so different about the mini ones.|||They are the same, except a standard Dachshund is much bigger. Standards are 25-30 lbs. Minis are under 10 lbs. The majority of Dachshunds, though, are called "Tweenies" because they're in between. This includes ones who are little, but not little enough to be Mini. If you want a Dachshund, please consider adopting a pup. There are tons of purebreds who have been rescued. Look on petfinder.com or on Dachshund Rescue of North America's website drna.org. Good luck!!|||Nothing is really different per-say about them. They are smaller and weigh less for sure. I think they might be a tad bit more high energy play full too. I had one for 17 years and she was a pure joy of a little dog. I think they are beautiful little dogs with tons of love for their family and very loyal too. If you are thinking of getting one I can't think of a better breed to get. Also they are so smart. They want to please and easy to house train as far as the smaller breeds. I say go for it. Evita|||To be a 'mini' doxie, it can't be larger than 1/2 the size of a 'regular doxie ... and if the 'breeders' are 'legitimate' they should have 'papers' on the puppies and their parents that you can see ... the 'size' should be on the papers. The ONLY way to get a 'mini' is from two parents who are both 'minis' ... even if you can get a 'smaller than normal' doxie, if one parent is 'regular sized' it WILL NOT be a 'mini.' The only 'real reason' to INSIST on getting a 'real mini' is if you want to 'show' your dog, or take her to 'obedience trials' ... those are frequently by 'breed' but also by 'size' ... other than that, though, if you just want a 'good pet' LET THE PUPPY choose you, not you choose the puppy ... you'll have a 'better puppy who will be 'friendlier' ... to you at first, but also to other people and dogs.|||Here's a link that describes the size difference:

Something I think is cute that's not mentioned there, is dachshund owners call the ones that fall in between sizes Tweenies. LOL|||my 13 yr old mini rosie weighs 10 lbs more than she should shes really fat

Why are mini cordless drills so hard to find?
I am trying to find a very powerful cordless mini drill, preferably the size of a glue gun. Under $100. Doesn't any one have any links or ideas?|||I don't think they make powerful cordless yet. Maybe a cheap one.|||There is no longer a market for the smaller drills or accessories. Versa Pak by Black N Decker used to make these types of tools. The demand was very low. The selling brands are from 14-18 volt. 12 volt is considered outdated.|||Been using tools, power, hand, whatever you can think of for over 60 years, don't ever remember seeing, much less using or owning a mini drill, the size of a glue gun. I have, however, seen and owned some small screw drivers that size, but none of them could even loosely be considered a drill, as they only turned approx. 450 -- 550 RPM's. If you should find something such as you're describing, I doubt it will be cheap. Possibly Bosch, Milwaukee or Hitachi, maybe even Panasonic would be some brands to check out.|||http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=dremmel鈥?/a>
Also,
http://dremelstore.com/Dremel-Cordless-s鈥?/a>|||You aren't going to find a very powerful cordless drill that small, one reason being that in order to be powerful, the battery alone has to be almost as big as a glue gun. There are cordless screwdrivers that are pretty small, but they aren't powerful.|||Well the Bosch I bought is over 100 but I was happy with the led light and the small batteries and the power

How many mini chocolate chips make one chocolate chip?
I need to know how many regular size chocolate chips to use in place of 10 Hershey mini chocolate chips. It is melted.|||about 2-3 mini ones make a regular sized one !!!
I think that in place of 10 Hershey mini chocolate chips, you can use about 4 regular ones. 3 may be too little, 6 would be too much!
I have both at home, looking at them and taking approx measurements, that is the best estimate I can come up with.
Yum : )
Enjoy!
you made me eat a bunch of chocolate chips now!! thanks : )|||goodness. don't you have anything better to do with your time? if it is melted who knows. it's such a small amount you should be able to guesstimate.|||3

How do you use a mini horse belly sweat?
I just purchased a mini horse belly sweat and it didn't come with any instructions. I know that it wraps around the stomach and that it used for trimming down their belly. I don't know how long to use it though or how tight to make it. I only want to use it for shows because my minis have slightly big bellies (not potbellies just round). I don't know how soon before the show I should use it. Should I put it on the night before or only a few hours before? Am I going about this all wrong? Oh and by the way, if you are going to post on here telling me that I am cruel and shouldn't use the wrap at all, you're wasting your time.|||I have really only used neck sweats, and I usually used them in the winter 24/7 or at least every night to keep the fat from building up in the Arch.
I used to make them so I could easily slip a finger or so under it.
Its hard to say I mean use judgment, if its to tight and you cant fit anything under it its too tight, to loose would be if it keeps turning or slipping.
As for when I am not so sure for a belly sweat.
I mean my guess, use it a few days before the show to slim your pony down.
You could probably google it and find someone who is sure about that part.
I would also go with a little less hay, that may help their round "hay bellys"
But Good luck and I hope it works out for you!|||is this amy, kara's aunt? sorry i don't have a answer!

How much money would it cost to get a mini to 260hp?
I know a 2002 mini has about 115hp, how much money would it take to get it to 260hp+?|||A mini-wheezer motor isn't capable of 260+ horsepower if you pushed it out of a flying box car at 40,000 feet. The best professional racing engine shop may squeeze 30 horsepower if you spend more money than the car is worth.
You'll need a stroked crankshaft a bore job through the water jackets with new steel sleeves pressed in, forged pistons, stiffer connecting rods. expensive high compression cylinder head work, port matching, intake and exhaust port reconfiguriation, new induction system, free flowing exhaust system and a camshaft that will ruin your fuel economy.|||Actaully, no, it does NOT have 115 horsepower.
The engine does. Minus transmission, intake, exhaust, and all other forms of restriction.
Actual wheel output? Closer to 90.
So, you're asking to triple the horsepower output of your vehicle.
Cost? Around $10,000-$15,000.|||a turbo will give you 75 to 100 horsepower more for 4 to 6 K american dollars...you can get 75 more with nitrous oxide about 400/500 but it aint gona last long unless newly rebuilt for that HP.

Contemplating a run in a mini marathon in a little over 2 months. Any suggestions on a good training regimen?
I'm 5'6 139 lbs and am 27 years old with a slender slightly muscular body. I haven't ran or jogged in over a year but began jogging a mile each day a few days ago. The date of the mini is Oct 20 and while I'm doubtful that I'll be ready by then I'm gonna give it a shot. So having said that, would you say 2 months is enough time to adequitely train for a mini? If so then what benchmarks should I shoot for each week in order to determine whether or not I would make it all 13 miles? Any particular foods I should eat that might benefit me in this goal? What ever combination of diet, exercises and benchmarks that I should employ is basically what I'm asking for. Any auggestions would be appreciated?|||A mini marathon would be like at least 21 km long or 15km. Either way, 2 months may not be enuff unless you are a seasoned runner. But still that does not mean you don;t try. Anything done with willpower will be sucessful.
The thing to do now is to make a training plan. You need to start running which is what you are already doing. You said a mile. For starters i guess that would be ok. But every week you need to increase it. Donlt run every day. That will wear your knees out. Alternate between running and strength trainng for the legs.
The best exercises to traint the legs are squats, lunges, leg extensions, calf raises. Do about 3 exercises of about 3 to 4 sets of 8 to 12 reps. The stronger your legs the longer you will be able to carry yourself during the run.
As for diet. You are not running the marathon so forget about the stuff about carb loading. Stick with lots of vegetables and fruits and protein for your meal. Eat a balanced meal with snack in between. Eat right after each exercise session as taht will aid in recovery. Protein will be useful in this regard.
As for benchmarks. I canlt tell you exactly. I want you to make some for yourself. You know how much time you have before the mini marathon. Each week increase your miles and challenge yourself to go the extra distance. But do give yourself a break once a week.....you don't wanna fall sick. Running 3 to 4 times a week with 1 to 2 strength training sessions is more than enuff. Take a day or 2 off and relax.
Lastly, one imprtant thing. The week before race day, try not to do any physical activities. Stretching and light jogging is fine. You want your legs and body fully rested for the big day. Trust me you will see a difference if you do. Good luck!!

How many mini cupcakes will a box of Jiffy make? And how long do I cook them for?
I know that a box of Jiffy corn or apple-cinnamon muffins, for example, will make about 6 regular muffins. But how many mini muffins will it make? Also, what will the new cooking time be, and will I have to change the oven temperature? Thanks!|||Probably 12-18 mini muffins - depending on the size. I'd start checking them after 5 or 6 min - at the same temp
