How to choose the right thread size for my mini sewing machine?

I bought the little mini multi-purpose sewing machine. The purple Pixie by Singer from Wal-Mart. It came with tiny size thread and when I bought some from Target, it was too thick so I am not sure what size or whatever to get. I read that you can buy certain kinds depending on the material you are sewing but I don't think that applies to this machine.|||http://singerco.com/company/contact_us.h鈥?/a> is where I'd start... I found the manual on their website, but it says nothing of thread size.





Personally, I doubt this will be a very long-lived machine, so I'm not sure I'd go out of my way trying to locate lightweight thread for it. You can occasionally find what's often called "lingerie thread" that may be the correct weight for the machine. Usually available only in light colors. You might also consider "bobbin thread" for an embroidery machine -- usually only available in black and white.

Thread size and needle size have to match to work well. Needle size in both numbering systems for needles goes up as the numbers increase. Thread size, however, is a little odd. If you see numbers like NE50/2 (or just 50/2), this is the old English thread size or metric thread size -- the higher the first number, the thinner the thread. If you see numbers preceded by TEX or T the higher the number, the thicker the thread.|||You need to go to a store that sells fabric. Take the needle out of the sewing machine so that they can see the size of the hole in the needle. Buy the best thread you can as the cheap thread frays easily and will cause you problems when you are sewing. Good luck

You should cover them with plastic wrap or foil so they don't dry out. If you have a large plastic container with a lid that would work also. If they are still warm and you have to go to bed , cover them loosely with foil-you don't want the surface to dry out. It will be better if you decorate them the next day.Make sure they are completely cooled before you cover them-if not, they may get a little soggy. How many mini cupcakes will one batch of cupcake mix make?

I want to make mini cupcakes for the 4th of July. And I need to know how many of the little cupcakes will one bag of red velvet mix make. I need about 20-24. First check she is not dyhydrated. Do this by pulling up loose skin back area. If it is slow to spring back down she is dyhydrated. and check gums for white pale color, this means ememic or infection. So that needs vet attention. Check bowls for worms. You can give her teaspoon of pepto bismal for tummy pain. My best guess is she ate too fast and is having a tummy ache to pass it out. Make sure she drinks and control food till she has bowel. If bloody get to vet soon. You might get her to calm down with gental tummy rub. Mother dogs lick pups to help digestion. Check nothing is stuck in throat also. Roseabelle (my mini)and I wish you well *mamatx|||I'm not sure if your dachshund is a puppy or an adult dog so not sure if she's up to date on all her shots. If she's fully vaccinated and isn't suffering from diarrhea and seems to be lively and acting normally, I think you should try to withhold her food for 12 - 18 hours to give her digestive system a chance to settle down.





After that time, try feeding her some plain, boiled white rice with a little chicken broth, and if she does okay with that you can go on to reintroduce her regular food. It's important to make sure that she always has lots of fresh water available though.





If after this she still is vomiting I would contact your veterinarian right away.





If she's not up to date on her shots, is a puppy, or seems to be unwell in any other way, then I would recommend taking her to a veterinarian immediately as she could be starting to show symptoms of one of the contagious dog illnesses puppies are prone to.

I've been thinking about how mini dv tapes work and how exactly you do stuff like editing and getting the film transferred onto a computer or how you get them on dvd. I have never had one before and I thought about getting a camcorder that uses them.But the main thing I want to know is about getting them onto a computer lol! |||The "DV" in miniDV = Digital Video. This is as digital as the video stored onto hard drives, flash memory or DVD storage media. Digital information can be compressed to use less space. DV format video (normally stored to miniDV tape) is the least compressed. This means the least amount of video data is discarded in order to take up less space.





Consumer hard drive and flash memory camcorders use a different storage filing system and compress more than DV. DVD based camcorders compress the most and you should not waste you money on them. Video compression = discarded data = reduced video quality.

What foods are the best to pack for a mini road trip?

My husband and I are planning a mini weekend road trip in a couple of weeks and didn't want to have to eat out any where. We are not camping and will be staying a hotel that we can find but wanted to pack our own food to save on costs. What foods do you recommend for snacks, meals and such? |||I don't know where you live, but try any liquor store and see if they will order you a case. It's one of those 'specialty' type boozes for the mini bottles, but due to liquor laws everywhere, they have to be made.





Otherwise, you can go with triple sec ... same flavor, but not the pretty color.|||I personally don't like Blue Curacao.....doesn't taste too good to me. If you are mixing it then that's a different story. Anyway, try a liquor store..they should have it.

How much should I feed my Betta using mini pellets?

I am feeding TetraBetta "mini pellets" so I am assuming I should be feeding more that the guidelines for "pellets". I don't want to overfeed but I feel like he is always hungry. Also, any idea how many feedings per day?|||You are right... He will always act hungry.





Feed him once in the morning and once at Dusk. Hokari makes the BEST Betta Pellets. Stay away from flake food because it dirties the water too easily. 4 to 6 pellets each time is fine and 10 pellets at full Adulthood. (About 6 months.) They live about 2 to 2 1/2 years, max.





You and your Betta will be happier if you buy a tank with glass dividers to hold 3 or more Bettas. This will allow them to interact without actually "Fighting". They actually will get more vivid color and good exercise from making fighting poses at their neighbors.





It is good to change 25% of the water in an unfiltered Betta tank every 3 days. It is even better if you put an In-Tank filter in the water so that water changes are smaller and less often.





Also, contrary to what most folks think, Bettas are Carnivores! They will not eat the roots of Plants in those stupid Vases with plants stuck in them and a Betta trapped in the water. They need water surface area as gulping air is part of their regular habits. They also do that to make "Bubble Nests", which Males will do even without the prescence of a Female.





Good Luck with Your Betta(s).|||I also have beta fish. According to Wardley Essentials Beta Food, fish should be fed several times daily. So, I reccomend 4-6 pellets per fish twice a day. I don't know, but I do it once a day and my beta fish are ok.|||I have a Betta and feed it TOPFIN Betta Bits which are pellets about the size of a pin head I guess(maybe just a little bigger).


Betta's stomachs are very small.


So I feed 3 little pellets in the morning and 3 at night.


Every so often I change it up and give him Tetra BETTAMIN flakes instead to give a variety of food.


Then as a treat once a week i give him a couple Tetra BloodWorms.|||Fish are opportunistic eaters.


If there is food, they will eat it.


They will eat themselves to death, given the chance.


Overfeeding is the main killer of fish, either by causing digestive problems, or by fouling the water.





Fish are also cold-blooded. They do not have fast metabolisms and do not need to eat as much as the packing on your food container says. It would take about 2 months for your fish to starve to death. In the wild, a fish rarely gets to eat even once a day. Weigh that against recommendations to feed at least twice daily and the only rational conclusion is that the company wants you to buy their fish food more often than you need to.





How much for a feeding at a time can be based on the size of your fish. His stomach is about as big as his eye. I would recommend one feeding every other day, or 3 days a week.|||i feed my bett with 4 pellets in the morning n same in the night|||Your Betta will always seem hungry, because in the wild, they will eat all they can, as they will not know when their next meal will be. You, on the other hand, know that your Betta will receive a meal each day! A Betta's stomach is roughly the size of his eyeball, and bloating him is detrimental to his health. I would suggest 2-3 pellets per day. Soak them in water a few minutes before so that they puff up before he eats them (as if they puff up in his stomach it can hurt the fellow) and clean up whatever he hasn't eaten after 20-30 minutes.

Now that I downloaded the new itunes it just moves the window down, not to the mini player. Where can I find the best price and coverage for a Mini Cooper extended warranty?

I just purchased a 2004 Mini, and it is covered until May 08'. I don't want to risk not having a warranty to cover a big problem, if one so occurs. I've called local Mini dealers and they are all around $2,000 - $3,000 for 4 to 5 years of coverage and 100,000 miles. Has anyone been able to find a better deal? Please help me out!|||Just because it is sold by a dealership doesnt mean anything. Alot of the time they sell the same coverage sold by the companies on the phone. We sell through Credit Unions, Dealerships, Directs (phone), and Personal Auto agents. So dont think just because its from the dealer its any better. As far as the price that is about right. The Mini Coopers are rated a bit high, not as high as Mercedes or BMWs but they aer still a European car.. The Asian cars are usually the lowest with American cars in between.|||Sadly the dealer will be the only one who can honor any warranties. Those so called independant ones are never any good when you need them. I constantly get offers in the mail about cars I've sold long ago saying my warranty has expired and I need to buy theirs. But when it comes time to use them at a dealer, they say they are no good cuz they are not part of the network. I really don't think you'll have any major problem out of your mini. It is a reliable car %26amp; a good preventive maint program will help you spot problems before they tear up. Sometimes spending a grand a few years down the road for a repair is still a better bargain than the $3K you dish out on an extended warranty. The Dodge dealer in 2001 insisted I buy one on my Cummins diesel. Well, I knew better %26amp; never did buy one. It was a great truck all the way to the 100K miles when I sold it. All I can suggest is that you really learn your car, buy a Chilton's manual, change your own oil %26amp; filters, rotate your own tires, Buy a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to the exact specs to prevent disc warp, %26amp; make a few hundred dollars investments in the correct tools for that car. That is the best warranty bargain out there. I bought an 07 Impala 1 year ago %26amp; it has never seen any mechanic but me. G'luck!

For example, when mine is running, it consumes about 125 watts. But it's not running continuously. It's off more than it's on.





So, let's say it was running all the time.


125 watts, or uses an 鈪?of a kWh each hour.


In 24 hours, that's 3 kWh.


In 30 days, that's 90 kWh.


My electric bill costs me an average of 11垄 per kWh.


So, running 24 hours a day, my mini fridge would cost me about $10 a month.


But it's not running continuously. If it were on half of the time, and off half of the time, it would cost me $5 per month. More likely, with my usage, it's on 录 of the time, and off 戮 of the time, so it costs me more like $2.50 per month.

I need to know how long a mini type battery last because im thinking about getting a JG G36C and it has mini type. How long does a large type battery last?|||It usually depends on what kind of power the motor needs as well as the mAh of the battery, so there's really not a set definition of how long a mini battery will last compared to a large battery.





Now, the battery that comes with the JG G36C is probably an 8.4v 1100mAh NiMH mini-type battery, and in my JG M733 which uses the same battery, and possibly the same motor, the battery lasts longer than one would expect possible for what they say about mini type batteries. I can use it for a whole day of playing without it dying. I know the battery lasts longer than that, but how many days of playing I could get out of it I don't know because I always recharge the battery before the next game. You should be fine, and if you start to have problems, just get yourself a spare battery (Intellect would be best) and you'll be good to go.|||Two minis should suffice for a full day's play, or one large.





Don't let the battery size put you off a gun,. you can always get a spare battery, or mount a bigger one externally...





If you want a G36 with a large battery, you can get an enlarged foregrip which takes a large, or a sliding solid stock which accommodates an large inside it....

How can I keep from laughing when doing mini skits at school?

In school, we occasionally need to get in front of the room to do mini skits. We try to make them humorous.





However, whenever I am up there, when the class laughs, I laugh, and then I have trouble saying the lines clearly. And the skits are in front of us so I don't forget. I just laugh.





How can I stop this? I want to be able to speak clearly. And I don't have too much stage fright, I just laugh.





And good methods to stop this habit?|||Your choices are limited; laughing is hard to cease when your already in a laughing mood. However, the most logical thing is to tell your castmate prior to the performance. Then, they can somehow help you, or work with your laughter, when on the actual stage/ front of classroom. You can also work WITH the laughter on stage... I'm not sure. Or, you can simply focus really hard on staying in character. Remember: It's not your character that's laughing; it's you.|||I loved acting class--all 4 years of it. I love it when the audience laugh, it means they like the play.





Whenever i do a play, I just tune the audience out. I try to ignore whatever happenes---like if someone slammed the door or the lights accidently came on. I imagine like they are not there and really don't pay attention to them. But the plays I've done are always rehersed for weeks and we usually don't laugh because we've heard the jokes and acts so many times.





I remember laughing a couple times though when things when wrong...|||I used to have this problem a lot. My solution, which worked quite well, was I'd just imagine all the girls who were watching and how much more impressed they'd be with me if I did the skit right.


Of course, this only works if you're as hopeless with the ladies as I am.|||Im not sure about acting, but when I don't want to laugh i think back to a painful experience or imagine all my relatives and friends dying.

Usually you would import your videos and drop them in to the timeline, add transitions, menus, music, etc. Once you are ready to burn, your project will be burned to a different DVD and you can file the original away.|||you can use iorgsoft DVD ripper to rip DVD to wmv, avi that editable with Windows Movie maker, or you can try iOrgsoft video converter to convert .VOB files to wmv, avi, then it will be an easy story to import them to WMM.

Looking to get a mini schnauzer in a couple months and would like to know how old the pup should be to get the dogs ears cropped.|||i dont know if its the same with all breeds ,but dobermans ears are always done between 9 and 15 weeks old. the person who said they are done at only a few days old is thinking about tails not ears. and the person who said the breeder does it should know that the breeder cant do it. it is illigal for anyone who is not a veterinary surgeon to do this procedure. it is very involved and not to be taken lightly. the breeder could have it done before you buy it but most dont because not everone that buys them wants the ears done. if the breeder is worth a ****, he will help you with the after care of the ears. they must be posted up after the surgery so they heal properly. this isnt very hard to do but can be intimidating to a first timer. also, to all the people who get pissy over ear cropping, F%@K OFF!!!|||They should be cropped around 3 months of age. You will have to keep a close eye on the ears after they are cropped and healing because there is a lot of blood flow to the ears (which means they bleed a lot if they are broken open) and you need to make sure they do not break open from shaking their head or anything like that.|||If you insist on doing it (if you're going to show him, though I don't know why THEY demand it; it's cruel) then you should do it the day you get him or sooner. That way they won't remember who caused them such pain so well. It'd be far worse then getting your ears pierced, and dogs don't get any anaesthesia or even ice.|||Vets here in Canada will only do it at two to three days of age. So if you are looking at one older than that, you are SOOL. They are really getting away from doing unnecessary procedures like this, as well as tail docking. Even some of the parent breed clubs are changing the rules so that dogs can be shown naturally.|||Is cropping the pups ears really worth it? I had a friend loose her puppy because he didn't respond well in surgery. It was really hard for the family to deal with espically for her daughters who were young and didn't understand why their puppy wasn't coming home. Honestly it is not worth it.








I hope you puppy does not have to deal with any complications.|||They usually crop them before the sell them. Unless you going to show this dog, don't do it. Its not right and painful. Schnauzer sometimes have allergies and most tapes they use they can be allergic to and you'll have messed up ears. DON'T DO IT!! Unless you are showing the dog. Which I doubt you are.|||Unless its a show dog, Don't crop the poor dogs ears. Its very painful for them and unnecessary. But you breeder should of already done it, they usually do it and let it heal before selling the puppy.|||Most vets will do them at 10-12 weeks old if they do them at all. Make sure that the vet who does them has a good track record and uses appropriate pain medication.|||Usually the breeder would crop them when they are VERY young. It is a very painful procedure and should not be done any older than when the breeder does it.

How can I get Vista to show a mini window of a minimized program?

On my other computer I am able to put my cursor over the minimized program and it would show a mini window of the program.





I've already tried right clicking the toolbar going to the properties and checking show window previews(thumbnails) but it won't work.

Stir dry ingredients into egg mixture alternately with sour cream. Gently fold in blueberries. Scoop batter into prepared muffin cups.


Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes.

How does the Mini Cooper do in the snow?

I'm really excited about getting a Mini Cooper S but my husband was just relocated to a place where it snows. It doesn't snow so much that I would be constantly driving on snowy streets, but it would probably happen between 1 - 10 times during the winter, and my commute wouldn't be every far to and from work. My 07 Toyota Corolla is terrible in snow. I have tried two different types of traction type tires and while they are better than the original tires, traction is still poor. Since I ususally drive alone, I put two 40# bags of salt on the passenger side front floor for the bad weather. That together with my better tires helped enough to get by.|||Any car with front wheel drive should do fairly well. It is a small car so plowing through heavy snow might be an issue. Use to drive a Neon in the snow, was a blast.

|||Both the regular Macs and the Mac Mini are good computers.


They aren't specced so low they are not usable, which can be the case with some PCs.





The differences are:


* The Mac Mini is smaller.


* The Mac Mini is a little slower.


* The Mac Mini does not come with a monitor. Nor does it come with a keyboard. So you will have to buy these two separately. I recommend buying the monitor from another supplier as Apple's monitors - while excellent - are expensive.


* The Mac Mini is a little harder to upgrade with more memory or bigger harddrives than the regular macs.





I think the Mac Mini is a good purchase. It's cheap, and you really don't need any more than the Mac Mini. It's a good computer. Not the best for games, but good.


I'd say go for it! I sincerely doubt you'll be anything but pleased.|||Normal Macs are mainly for running a lot more programs. Mac Minis are tiny and don't come with a monitor, keyboard, or mouse. But if you can afford the mini, definitely get it. It's not that Macs are better than other Macs, it's that different Macs are made for different purposes. If you just use a computer to upload photos, browse the internet, chat on aol, etc. then you'll be completely fine with the mini. But what ever you do, don't get a PC with vista. You need a 12 volt transformer. I would imagine that your fan has a cigarette lighter plug on it, so get a transformer that has that outlet on it. You can get them at Radio Shack and plug it into your extension cord, and plug your fan into it..

I am looking for the cheapest and easiest ways to get files from my computer onto the 1GB PQI mini SD memory card i bought to use with my nokia 6265i. Does a USB memory card reader transfer only to the computer from the mini SD, or can it also transfer files from the computer onto the mini SD card? How long should I spend on a mini trampoline a day to lose weight?

I am 13, 5 3, and weigh 138. This week i bought a mini trampoline. How often a day would i have to use it to lose weight? What is the correct way to train mini dachshund to use the stairs?

To get into the living room, you have to climb up 4 small steps so what is the correct way to train a mini dachshund to use them?|||First I would like to address the answers telling you not to let a doxie use the stairs. This si not correct and they are following old wives tails. Doxies are susceptible to back issues but preventing them from doing things will only make it worse. I went to a vet who specializes in dogs susceptible to slipped disks and dysplacia. He explained it like this. For people as we age our joints become weaker and elderly can break things or slip disks, hips, etc. Almost any doctor will tell you they more active you are when your young and the more you do, as well as continuing exercise into your senior years decreases the risks because you build muscle around you joints, etc. It is the same for animals a doxie that is at a proper weight and active and fit when young who continues into their elder years will run less chance of slipping a disk. They build muscles and train their joints to work with them just like people. Dogs that are restricted and then take a leap of a couch later on when they haven;t built those muscles are the ones who will have higher risks. (this doesn't mean an active doxie wont have back issues just an active doxie will be less likely too)





Now onto get him to use the stairs, while young I would try to put in a floor runner for more traction, they are cheap at walmart and once he is a little biger you can ditch the runner. Always make it fun. When our girl was little we would get her running with us and excited and then go up stairs. When she was real little she could only make them with a running start. Everytime we hit the top we gave her a treat or praise (alternate so she doesnt expect the treat.) we just wwent up and down for fun and never made a big deal of it and she caught on.





Good Luck.|||Not a good idea to have dachshunds use stairs a lot, they can get back problems.


However, to get her to go up and down by herself, stay on top of the steps holding a treat she wants and encourage her verbally, then give her the treat when she does go up the stairs.


You can also put her on the first or second step and then encourage her to complete the climb, it's what we do with our big dachshund on our motor coach steps. I carry the mini dachshunds up the steps usually.|||I would not try to train them to do so. I have dachshunds and always carry them up and down the steps. If they learn to go up the steps themselves I will let them. Many times I still carry them if they do not show an interest in doing so on their own.


Steps are tough for dachshunds because of their short legs and long bodies.


You could have a small ramp built along the wall of the steps to accomodate your dachshund. That way no need to use the steps.|||First use positive training so the dog isn't afraid of the stairs. Introduce him to the stairs with a treat. With this, he will learn stairs are good. Proceed to put a treat on the first step, when he eats it praise him. Then put a treat on the second step. This will encourage him to move onto the first step to get it. Be sure to praise him when he does so. If he doesn't go onto the first step, put the treat in front of him and slowly move it to the second step, hopefully, he will follow it. Keep repeating this until he is comfortable with the stairs. With practice, he will be able to up them when he wants and without a treat every time. Hope this helps, and good luck!|||the way i trained my poms and pomchi pup to use them is sit on the top step let them get used to being there...then move down to the next step and so on same way with going up them..worked great..now the run up and down them...|||She will use the stairs when she is ready, if ever. Stairs can be very hard on the backs, necks and stifles (hind leg knee joints) of small dogs. If she chooses not to use the stairs, so be it.|||Just wait it will learn on it's own.|||set her in the middle of them and coaxs her with treats

The AKC should have a list of breed clubs in your area. The AKC is an organization for Pure Breed dogs only, so theys hould be able to help you.





Never buy dogs from a pet store, or any store that has dogs in a window. Most of those dogs are from "backyard breeders" and you may not have access to the dog's history.








The main office for the American Kennel Club is in New York City. There should be a telephone number and/or email address on their website.





Please don't overlook non-purebreed dogs. I volunteer at a dog shelter and many non-purebreed dogs are more loving, with a better temperment, than the purebreeds.





Good luck.|||Be careful though. Just because a dog is AKC registered does not mean it is free of genetic diseases. Try the Mini-Schnauzer breed club instead.

I have a couple of packets of mini eggs left over from Easter. Do you think they would taste good in a cookie recipe?|||They're fantastic in cookies, just make sure that the cookie batter is a thick one, so that they don't stick too much out of the cookies. I really like using them in peanut butter or oatmeal cookies, although if I'm making regular chocolate chip cookies with the eggs I tend to make giant ones instead of the standard sized ones.

How can I attach netting onto a mini top hat, and how can I attach it to my head?

I'm going to be a burlesque/moulin rouge girl for Halloween, and I bought a mini top hat to wear. I want to attach netting to it to cover the face, and I'm also wondering how to attach the hat to my head since the hat is pretty small. The hat is made of felt. Any suggestions would be appreciated!|||1.Netting can be attached by sewing. Do a whip stitch and gather the netting so that it looks full, or has the fullness you desire. (Use a large needle that will go through felt)


2.You might want to attach it with hot glue. (The strongest hold, will be through sewing)


3.Attaching to your hair


a) With bobby pins you will need to attach one through the netting, then with a second bobby pin cross over the first one.


This makes a very firm hold. You will need to do this on each side and at least once in the middle.


b)You could attach very tiny loops onto the hat, at the crown area. Then you would do the bobby pin cross over technique.(it really works)


c) I think since this hat is felt you could make slits (very small) then in the slit you would do the bobby pin cross over to attach the hat to your hair. You would want 3, one on each side and one in the middle. If that doesn't balance well, then make one more.





Try a couple of them and see which is best for you.





Good luck with this project, I really think it will work great!!|||For the netting, you can stitch the netting into place, using the same thread color as that of the hat. Please attach the netting under the brim, following the contours of the hat.





To wear the hat, after determining how best to wear the top hat, please put very two tiny holes on the sides of the hat, then thread a nice narrow satin or velvet ribbon on both sides, knot the ends on top of the hat (if you can make the knots into roses, even better) and tie under your chin.





Happy halloween!|||A quick fix for the netting is staples or hot glue.





Use thin elastic, bobby pins, "Frozen Stiff" hairspray (the stuff dries so hard nothing moves!)|||hand stitching will attach the netting and a fine elastic sewn to each side (on inside) kinda like a birthday party hat, will hold it on but instead of wearing it under your chin wear the elastic under your hair. Bobby pins will reinforce the elastic to stay put. The real trick to this is to match the thread with what you're sewing|||I suggest using a heat glue gun. It works for almost everything. Just be careful when attaching the hat to your head. lol

Are mini laptops relatively the same speed as a regular laptop?

Is a kinked tail bone in a mini dachshund a sign of more serious problems?

I am about to purchase a mini dachshund and the breeder just informed me that the puppy's tail bone is kinked at the base of the tail. I am concerned that this is a sign of more serious problems to come.|||Never heard of such a thing - call your vet and ask this question, it sounds like nonsense.





Why are you buying a dachshund in the first place, there are so many in breed rescues and on Petfinder.com that need good homes, why not adopt one - without a "kinked at the base of the tail" dog from a back yard breeder or puppy mill.





Angel Fire: This "kinked tail" bit is a catch all for tail deformity - it occurs in many breeds, in cats and ferrets as well - it certainly isn't common in dachsies and I've never seen the condition in any dachsie that we came across.


When breeders are so bad that they have a standard phrase for it and make it sound as if it happens all the time, it's time to walk away - and adopt - which was my point. Thought you were encouraging adopting too, not taking snide pot shots at people who are trying to get that message across to clueless buyers.|||A kinked tail can be a sign of other possibel spinal issues, i woudl watch how the dog moves and speak with a vet to find out what issues if any you might run into. you should also be able to ask the breeder and get straight answer. If the breeder is doing the right thing and selling the dog as a pet and informing you of the kink then they will probably let you know if you can expect any other issues to come up. as long as there are no other kinks in the spine i woudl guess that you shoudl be okay as long as with any long backed dog you are carefully about the jumping up and down from thigns like furniture and that he doesn't become overweight.|||kinked tails in dachshunds is one of the defects that can be passed along. Anyone who uses a stud or dam with a kinked tail isn't going by the standard, and would make me leary of getting a pup since you don't know what else may have been passed down. A kinked tail in it's self is not a sign of a problem, but it should raise a red flag...

Very affectionate, very playful, full of personality. Very nice bird, but kind of loud. My favorite mini is the Hahn's Macaw. They are the smallest of the minis. Never met one I didn't like-very sweet birds. If I didn't already have my Yellow Collared, I'd get a Hahn's.

What are some good products to make with a mini mill?

I have a bench top mini mill in my basement. I also have a relatively good handle on milling and have been doing it for a little over two years. I am wondering if anyone out there has any good suggestions on smaller metal or wood products that I can make on this mini mill that I could sell maybe even in larger quantities. What happens if you mix a mini poodle with a standard poodle?

If a male miniature poodle, and a female standard poodle have puppies what size are they? Are they standard, mini, or somewhere in the middle? I have been trying to find this answer all day, and haven't had any luck.

Minis are 10-15 inches...





for the records, toys are any that are under 10 inches





so you'd have to see what size the pups end up being as adults... some may be minis and some may be standards.








The problem is that you have minis that may potentially carry the gene for larger sizes.. so you could end up getting standards if you breed that mini back to another mini..





the standards from that litter coule potentially carry genetics for smaller sizes, so you could get minis if you breed back to another standard.





This is what is called "throwback" genetics.|||That would depend on how big they are when they mature. You could have a verity of sized since the only thing that separates the mini from the standard poodle is size.

If you mix a standard x mini poodle you could get mini's, standards' and in-betweens. They would not be registerable by any reputable registry as they are not 1 particular breed size and wouldn't fit into 1 category.|||I would think it would go by the final height measurement when grown. I never heard of any breeder mixing the two sizes when breeding. Usually its mini to mini or standard to standard.

What is the difference between a mini laptop and a regular laptop?

The Mini or Notebook class have less ram, single core processor, smaller screen, smaller batteries but run more efficiently. 99% of the time they do not have a CD/DVD drive.





They cannot run as graphic intensive programs, have as much hard drive memory, and they will always have a non standard size keyboard.





The main usage of these computers is to have portability at the cost of functionality, however most people don't use the full functionality of there laptops, you may hardly notice the difference in functionality.

Most of the Notebooks run on a system called Linux, which is basically aimed at younger children, or people who are just beginniners with computers. This means its quite limited, and its completely different from Windows. How do you connect a ihome mini speaker to a cd player?

I am holding a party for my sister and I am in charge of music. I have a Jensen JIMS-210-BK Docking Digital Music System/Alarm Clock with CD for iPod but I wanted to connect it with my Ihome mini speakers. My Jensen music system has an aux button but I didn't know how to connect it. Anybody have any solutions?|||The aux input on your Jensen is meant for receiving from other sources, non-iPod, CD player and etc. It cannot send audio via that port. You can connect the mini speakers to the Jensen's headphone jack if you want, but that is not advisable because Jensen's speaker are stronger than the iHome's. That said, the Jensen is not strong enough for a party either unless it is in a very small room. I would strongly consider buying one of iHome's better products. The iH16's while not exceptional, would probably suit your purpose. It is reasonably priced on Amazon for $42|||Plug your iHome into the speaker jack on your Jensen alarm clock. It will work I promise.

What is the quality of life for a deaf mini daschund?

I have a 7 month mini daschund, and we are thinking about adopting a mini daschund puppy that is DEAF. I had posted earlier that she was BLIND but I must have had temporary insanity. I wanted to repost with the correct handicap. I want to know if she can have a relativly normal life and life span, or are other handicap's or health problems prone to happening? Thank you.|||the dog won't even know that she is missing something, and will be as happy as any other..There are so many great sites for training deaf dogs..just do a search for " deaf dog training' and you will find LOTS of help.|||Your dog can live a happy healthy normal life. People always say " Keep your eyes open so you can see the world" not hear the world!|||Training a deaf dog will be much easier than a blind dog. They usually have a normal life span, unless they have ongoing med issues with their ears (infections etc...) There should not be any additional health problems caused by being deaf.





Of course (obviously) you have to be a bit more careful, and keep the dog on leash every where because they cannot hear.





Dogs can learn sign language and be well behaved dogs, there is just a bit more training involved.
