I have about 11 grand to spend, but a mini cooper S just costs an *** load to maintain and to buy. So what car gets as good as gas mileage and still packs some horsepower?

There is not much in the same category as a Mini but Volkswagen Golf or New Beetle, Mazda Miata or Honda Civic Coupe might be alternatives.|||Well the good thing about Mini is that its free maintenance for the first 3 years! So you wont have to worry about it. You could always just lease it for 3 years then move into a newer one when your lease is up.
