Can a mini laptop have games uploaded to them?

I am trying to determine if a mini laptop would work for my niece. She loves to play SPORE (sp) and a few other games. Most mini laptops do not seem to have a CD drive, whats every ones thoughts on this.|||www.dell.com

Inspiron 15|||Mini laptops (or Netbooks) are in general not intended for gaming.

Sure, you can play some, 'small' games on it, but that's about it.

Games such as Spore will most likely not work on a netbook, unless that it one very powerfull one!

If you what to give it a try though, you can purchase a external DVD drive, and connect it to one of the USB ports on the netbook - this way, you will be able to get the netbook to read the CDs or DVDs.|||Mini laptops? You mean those little ones with ATOM processors?

Spore will not work on those. They are not made for gaming.

A normal laptop for about $700 should run it( only if it has a good video card).|||Most mini laptops will not have the hardware specifications (RAM, Processor speed) to run high end games such as spore. Sorry!
