How do flashing mini-lights work in comparison to regular mini-lights.|||There's a capacitor in the circuit.
The way a capacitor works can be easily explained, if you envision an above ground swimming pool filling up with a garden hose. The garden hose slowly fills the pool, but if a large opening where made in the pool, all the water would rush out at once.
The capacitor charges up, and releases electricity making the light come on briefly. Then all the stored power of the capacitor is used up, and the light goes out. The capacitor fills back up, then releases again.
This is done at a very fast rate, of course.
This is for any flashing light.
