How does a mini jet engine work? How does it compare to a real jet engine?

Does a mini jet engine use the same type of engine as a real aircraft would? If not, is it even possible to buy a mini jet engine that acts the same as a real jet engine?|||I'm assuming that you are referring to a turbine engine.

Yes there are miniature turbines that operate on the same principles as a full size turbine, compressing gas with impellers to create combustion, driving the motor.

There are also a few other types of engines that emulate the operation of a turbine.

The ducted fan motor uses a piston motor driven fan inside of a tube.

These types of engines are normally used for radio controlled models.|||Not real familiar with the mini jet engine, but real jet engines are quite complex, precise and expensive. There's about 12 different types: ramjet, turbojet, turbofan etc.

A mini jet engine works on the same principle, Newton's law of motion but is a simpler design, otherwise they'd be many thousands of dollars.|||If you're talking like in the BD-5J; just like a big one.|||if you are calling a small scale jet engine a minijet, then they work exactly like their full scale brothers. just like mini piston engines work just like their full scale brothers.
