How many mini cupcakes does 1 box of cake mix yield?

I'm planning something that calls for a ton of mini cupcakes but I have no idea how many I can get out of one box, so I've no clue how many boxes to buy. Anyone know?|||Average box yields 12 cupcakes -- so 24 minis.|||Well, just get some mini cupcake pans with some paper linings, buy 1 box of cupcake mix, and fill up the muffin linings 3/4ths of the way. See how cupcakes you get. Once you know how many cupcakes 1 box makes, multiply and figure out how many boxes you need for your party. I think it's usually double or triple the amount of mini cupcakes since for 1 scoop of mix for one cupcake will probably make 2 or 3 mini cupcakes. I hope this helped a little.
