Is my mini fridge ruined if I was defrosting and poked a hole that made it start hissing?

I was picking the ice off the freezer part of my mini fridge, and after a poke from my knife i heard a hissing sound. If I plug the hole, will it fix it because it is not getting cold anymore at this point.|||History.Wish I had a dollar for every time this happens|||Yes,It is ruined.You have poked a hole in the freon line.Nothing will seal the line shut.Throw it away and buy another.|||Yes, you could do that to but you might have to buy some of rubber stuff that goes around the fridge.|||you let the freon out and it could be repaired however it'll cost less to buy a new one.|||Yup!
